The Keg Bung has been manufactured by Keg Basics since 1975, and was previously known as the Denver Bung. All brewery industry products were moved to their current location, in Hastings NE, in 1999.
Merrick Machine was started Alda, Nebraska in 1959 by Jim Merrick. In 1975 Jim’s son Rick began diversifying into the plastics business and added Triad Fastener L.P. an injection molding facility to the family. The Keg Bung, previously known as the Denver Bung, has been manufactured by Triad/KegBasics since 1975. Vented keg caps were created in 1983 and Triad/KegBasics has been the leading American manufacturer ever since.
